I'm compulsive, but I'm also very indecisive. I don't know what I want, but I know that I want IT now.
In this best of compilation from Dylan Moran's (Channel 4's Black Books) second live special Like, Totally, the topics of discussion include choosing Batman over Jesus as a role model, what constitutes a brief relationship and mild-mannered people getting super aggressive as soon as they sit in a car.
Filmed Live at London's Hammersmith Apollo

SOW effin' true when he says"Those who turn to Jesus haven't really done very well with everybody else" was he talking to me ?? when he said that??? lol
He is charming and witty and goodlooking he must be gay
The cage comes down? Dylan, are you sure you were a human child and not a jaguar cub?
Shame flavor, the new divine taste! It's so good you'll keep coming back for more!

He has perfect hair
We are in lockdown Melbourne Town. I do enjoy your paradigm. I have stories too.
Hope you’re Ok!
He is so wise.
I LOVE THIS MAN 💜
the best line is "she would strike a match off her forearm, and go and tell you to dance in the front room for money" absolute gold hahaha
Man, this guy sounds like the love child Robin Williams and the lucky charms mascot.
I can't place his age at all. When he laughs he looks in his 20's but he is non stop projecting the energy of a jaded sarcastic 50 year old
Or you could just leave the silly analysis down the back of the couch and simply enjoy some very funny comedy and craic
@Tobiaz Tobiaz he quite clearly states that he is "30, nearly 35"
he was in his 40s in this clip.
I
Ah, Dude; ya had ya trash the Big Guy.... ya had me right up ya there.
It's not really "trashing", more just pointing out that he has a tendency to complain... cause, you know, for example, he did kinda let EVERYONE know he was pretty upset during that whole overturning-moneylenders-tables-at-the-temple incident. I mean, I have my problems, but do you see me basically shouting "This is where I like to talk to my Dad and I don't like you trying to conduct business here, ya bunch of criminals!" at any point? Gee: talk about melodrama! In all seriousness, as the child of a minister myself, I actually have a lot of respect for many people of faith. Maybe just relax a little? I think The Big Guy can handle the occasional silly joke at His expense - He's big enough for that, right?
Protestants find their guilt elsewhere. Not sure where that goes, but it's better than not being able to have a wank when I feel like it. Which is nice.
Christians in general find guilt in the same exact place they find allegories and metaphors to crazily take literally.
I'm in total love with him..!
Do tell me,please, why is it that an Irish Catholic upbringing has produced so many funny/creative/ generally brilliant people? Or does nobody know?
Art thrives in restriction.
It's a combination of strict rules and hardship followed by communion wine - that mix is explosive!
I wish I knew too. In another bit Moran described how trying to hide one's enjoyment of sensual pleasures is an Irish trait. It closely matches an observation my cousin made about our family years ago, that we can't allow anyone to see us enjoying money. And 1854 was the last time any of us had lived there. Seems like only wit and music are shared and enjoyed freely.
I feel sorry about Catholics whom feel always shame. I was always told about the love and forgiveness of God.
dave allen reborn . didn't think he'd come back as a c**t
wow he is identical to bill cosby! that is awesome
@Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey well maybe it's just me then.
How so? I'm imagining Moran telling the cake-for-breakfast story... Even if Bill Cosby did an Irish accent there is very little similarity.
@Matthew Holevinski How does Cosby's line delivery in any way resemble Moran"s? edit: just occurred to me - is this about... pauses? Cause if it is, one could note that William Shatner is also well known for this. Also, he's done at least one piece of dark comedy spoken word - does that make him identical to Moran, let alone Cosby? I don't get it.
@Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey how does any of that have anything to do with line delivery?
@Matthew Holevinski No! I see a lanky mop-haired possibly tipsy Irish misanthrope with a strong sense of the absurd and his own fairly unique delivery - NONE of which is like Cosby (except, with the whole drugging and raping women horror, Cosby was in real life a complete and UTTER misanthrope, certainly regarding anyone female). Cosby on stage was an obviously calculated performer - part of Moran's genius is making it look like he's kinda rambling from a stream-of-consciousness and we just happen to be present for it. Not seeing Cosby AT ALL. Frankly bewildered how you do....
This is hilarious. Protestant is very different in the US.
Dunno what the word means, but I already know it's 96% of America.
Yeah. It's about never going to church, drinking watered-down coffee, and talking endlessly about wanking to people who are actually having sex.
the blond girl seen at 1:42 definitely just checked her fella still has the gear on him for afters
Being a comedian is a really strange profession. What do you tell your family when you come home? "Well today at work, I could not see anybody, because bright lights were pointing at me. I was just talking to myself and rambling on about anything that came to my mind. Meanwhile strangers were laughing at me - It was great! Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!"
As a beginner comedian myself (3 years in). This is a spot on summation of what it's like to be doing this.
Love him!
Corona not taking him down 🤣🤣💕
Absolutely spectacular....totally understands people!
Love Dylan Moran
"I don't know what I want, but I know I want it now" - every young person
10:30 - he was so very close to losing it here =D
And yet people still tun to jesus...
Top 5 all time all countries favorite
Comic genius flows off the man in little rivers!
This is full of De botton wisdoms! Hope Dylan is safe and prepping for New shares and depressive joys
Dylan Moran confirmed for covid-19 xD
That guy at 4:01 😂
He looks like blue Peter /sky sports presenter Simon Thomas, and what about him anyway?? 🤔
What with that guy? Looks like a very normal guy! A VERY normal guy! INCREDIBLY usual guy! One of the most average looking guys I've ever seen in my freaking life! My mind just explooooOOOooodes how average that guy is! He must be in The Guuinness Book of Records as THE most usually looking guy in the Cosmos! Aaaah, he's great.
Such an interesting style, really enjoyed this clip
....and then THE CAGE COMES DOWN!!!
Flynn°-°94 I believe the word you’re looking for is “unexpected”.😉👍🥃
I don’t know why but I just think that’s the funniest fucking bit, every time I hear it I crack up

I miss Dave Allen - and Dylan Moran fills that void.
i feel like the jokes would be bit funnier if he had a different voice, but oh well, you don't get to choose that stuff
@seagecko weeelll... you know what it's like - it's Friday or Saturday night, the kids are safely ensconced in their rooms, out comes a nice Chardonnay... It's long been an occasional indulgence of mine (like when the man himself once said, "whores will have their trinkets"). A little peccadillo, if you will. X
@Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey - I'm curious if you were such an avid comment guru before the COVID got you stuck at home. Please satisfy my curiosity. I also enjoy reading silly arguments in the comment section (COVID notwithstanding) lol
@Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey :P
@Sentinel DJ you two mate. We fellow introverts should stick together!...wait...no...um... you get my drift
@Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey Thank you for your kind comments, tbh I'm just keeping real, I'm an introvert who didn't leave the house for 6 months except work and home before lockdown and when it happened, it was literally just another time and excuse not to go out lol I hope you stay safe buddy
Dislikes came from Christians 😂 ‘cause truth hurts much more than a plate of biscuits. Witty
Maybe because he's misinterpreting the Bible.
Not all ;p lol
i liked it mate, its pretty true 😂
@Ogmios Danite who's comments are being dismissed?
Ogmios Danite sorry, is it even English you speaking? ‘Cause it’s probably way too spiritual for me being able to get the point of your answer ☺️ oh maybe it’s better to try “deCeased” instead of “deSeased”? Go educate yourself first, then trying to get what humour and sarcasm are. Good luck 😉
I adore his comedy. Witty, surreal, absolutely true.
2:57 adhd
More like OCD
"I don't know what I want, but I know I want it now" now that is the truest thing I have ever heard...
I o I oi
How about the im compulsive, but im also indecisive lead up, hence the joke?
I think I'd want my money back really.
He is irish I'm irish we are funny the end
@Willy Tepes unless you start new profiles/ usernames and change location it will be easy to find yr IP from before you used the VPN .... Like home addresses- once they are known it is pointless trying to obfuscate. Also leaving phone at home might be too little too late if years worth of location data is already known. . . . They can take an educated guess as to your location, chances are you took your phone there before some time in the past. If you lost a job 20 years ago you must be at least in yr mid 30s. From your communication so far (and username) I would have guessed you were under 20.
@Ped Clarke A VPN is only really a point if you are avoiding the authorities as the common fool on the internet or even a accomplished geek will not be able to identify me if I just use a little care. Since I am not afraid of the government at this stage, there is no point in me paying for a VPN. Once there is reason to fear the government, my fight will go from words to actions. They don't have to worry about me until I go off-line, start leaving my phone at home ect. Today there is very little you can say without it being labeled as controversial by the cultural Marxists. I used my real name back in 2000 and got a ton of death threats from commies and even lost a job over it. However innocent your opinions are, you should NEVER use your real name online, because someone somewhere will take offence, and what you said 20 years ago might no longer be seen as acceptable speech. And yes, most of you are fools that have no idea of what is coming in a few years. There is a war coming, and it will be brutal.
@Willy Tepes willy have you heard of a VPN? you should always use one to prevent internet weirdos from discovering your IP address. I didn't save it or pass it on. I was amused that you advised me not to use my real name (which I don't anyway) yet you leave your geographic location (accurate to about 30metres so not pinpoint) completely unguarded. Oh dear willy.... Get a VPN soon so you can drop some controversial opinions on us fools.
@Willy Tepesto which insight are you referring willy? My suggestion that you possess genius level insight? That was a sarcastic comment, not an insight willy. You squeezed in lots words, multisyllabic too. Its just the relevance and purpose that is lacking.
2nd comment, I feel like I've made it. This is for you mum She is dead
She'd be so proud champ.
HELLO MOM
Shoutout for Joshua's mum
aww
Dealing with his own personal issues? Hm, I think Dylan Moran doesn't read a lot of Batman comics lol
Bistromath Commander Mong 😂
@achanwahn maybe. But it's also possible he doesn't know that much, unless he's a Batman reader. Either way it's still a funny line.
Pretty sure he was being ironic. But I can't tell if you are... 🤔
